GDP (advance estimate) for Q3 2026: out Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 8:30 AM ET
The story goes up on this page shortly after the release: the new numbers, how they compare with before and what they mean for your money. Until then, here is what the release measures and where the last report left off.
What it measures
Gross domestic product: the total value of goods and services produced in the US, reported as an annualized quarterly growth rate. BEA publishes an advance estimate about a month after the quarter ends, then two updates.
Why it matters for your money
It is the broadest check on whether the economy is growing. A run of weak quarters raises recession worries, which tends to show up in hiring, stock prices and interest rates.
