About these releases
- Monthly options expiration
- Standard monthly stock and index options expire on the third Friday of each month, or on the trading day before when that Friday is a market holiday. In March, June, September and December, stock index futures expire the same day, which traders call triple witching.
- Industrial production
- Output at US factories, mines and utilities, plus how much of their capacity is in use.
- Fed speech
- A scheduled talk by a member of the Federal Reserve Board. Board members vote at every rate meeting, so markets listen for hints about policy.
